I speak with a lot of friends , and the opinon is the same , the question is: the chevy block 3970010 with number 010 .020 is for the nickel ,ok is it for 1% tin and 2% nickel or is 10 % tin and 20% nickel ? The other numbers were the distributor # 1111480 and the (3) possible engine casting #'s 3932386, 3956618, and 3970010. Am trying to get info on my small block chevy. Casting number is 3970010. Stamped numbers are V0205ZAH and 19S423482. Near as l can find out through the internet l have an engine manufactured in 1979 to be installed in a 1980 Vette. The internet only shows ZAD, then jumps to ZAK, NOTHING FOR ZAH.

Also forgot to mention this block was used for both 327 and 350 cubic in. motors. Became a 350 for 68 up in most Chev. lines. Block usually will have the 10/20 tin nickel content. However, it can come in either a 2 or 4 bolt main configuration. Generally the 010 blocks are good for making perfornance engines.
